Whaley's birthday-Lawn Fawn Entry

Hello everyone! I checked my emails today and found a great email from Lawn Fawn saying they were having a challenge! The challenge was to make a card for their CHA Winter 2013 Booth. There are three seperate challenges, but I decided to join in on the first one which was to use their Critter Sets and/or their Hats Off set. So I used a bunch of my critter sets and the Hats Off stamp set to create this scene card. For the card you couldn't use any patterned paper since they are releasing some new patterned paper of their own. And you also had to use only Lawn Fawn stamp sets, that way people wouldn't get confused.

The story of this card is it's Whaley's Birthday and all his buddies threw him a party and made him a delicious chocolate castle cake. So here they're all singing him happy birthday. Meanwhile, the sneaky Octopus takes a piece of the yummy chocolate cake before Whaley has blown the candles! But it's all in good fun:)

Anyways back to the card, I ended up just using white cardstock and inking it up with my Distress Inks. And for the sky I hand cut a cloud stencil and went over it with the ink. All of the stamps are from Lawn Fawn and here is what I used:

Critters in the Sea stamp set(Whale, Hermit Crab, Octopus, Wave, Bubbles, Fish, Dolphin, Tortoise, Barnacle, Shells)

Critters in the Forest Stamp Set(Woo-hoo!)

Critters Ever After( Castle"Cake", and unicorn's horn cut to use as candles)

Critters in the Farm Stamp set( Exclamation point behind birthday)

Hats Off Stamp set(Party hats, Crown, happy birthday)

TGF FFF- Stamp your own background

It's that time of the week again where I join in on The greeting farm Farm Fresh Challenge. This weeks challenge was to stamp your backgound. So that's exactly what I did! I used the greeting farm Flutter Heart Stamp set and stamped out the banner stamp several times so it can make a background and then inked up some clouds. I used Fleur Anya as my main focal point and voila! There's my card!

TGF Retro Fresh Challenge- I WANT CANDY:)

So many challenges, so little time! I was finally able to join in on this challenge on The greeting farm. The challenge was to make a card with candy on it. So I used Lolli Anya which is an oldie but goodie:) And paired her up with some "sugarplums" or candy and gingerbread men in this case:) I just love the Retro Fresh challenges because I can dust off some of my older stamps and used them! The challenge ends November 13th so you still have some time to enter if you're interested. tfl!
